ADVANCES IN RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY:

THE RAPIDLY EXPANDING  EXCELLENCE OF THE TECHNIQUES & PRODUCTS OF DIGITAL DENTISTRY

As dentistry evolves into the digital world, the successful dental practice will wisely incorporate fundamental clinical computerization, acquire appropriate materials and equipment and understand advancing manufacturing technologies. This decade will realize sweeping changes in the efficient fabrication of restorations due to increased communication between the dental practice and the dental laboratory. Importantly, the individual creativity and artistry, learned from decades of study of tooth anatomy and optical effects by the dentist and ceramist will be retained and improved. This presentation will focus on the latest developments of computerized assisted design and manufacturing of dental restorations that are changing the very nature of dental practice.
